Where did she go?

Alright, it has been a looong time since I posted anything. But I have been busy. Besides working full time as a teacher, attending graduate school full time working on my masters, I have been merrily scrapbooking away.

I have just been very negligent in taking pictures and posting them.
Time to start catching up!

Now, I won't be able to get everything, but I'll start to share a handful of projects.
Let's start with the projects for my next Stampin' Club.

OK, this is a 12x12 spread to allow the group to try out some different techniques.
I used the Color Coach to come up with the combo, because I honestly would never have thought to put these colors together. When I looked at the coach, I was suspicious, but when I put it together, I loved the combo! I used the Almost Amethyst paper, Always Artichoke and Pumpkin Pie. I was using the Pumpkin Pie Die-Cut Flowers with the new Rub-Ons. Fun combination! I also included the new hodgepodege ribbon roses over the scallop punched rub-on. I love how so many things line up and are compatible.




I went to a Regional workshop where they demonstrated watercoloring on designer paper. I thought "How cool is that!" So, I thought we would try that out. I don't have very many flower stamps appropriate for watercoloring and dug out this old set. I also tried the faux embossing with the Crop-a-dile on the Photo Corners I punched. Its the same design, one pink and one blue. So, people can chose what they want to do.

To help demonstrate the principle, I dug out a whole bunch of old Designer Papers and punches and went to town!

Since we are going on a trip to Monterey, I expect us to spend a little time on the beach, around the tidepools, and critter watching along the slough. So, to prepare for some pictures, I prepped with the old sea shells stamp set and the old wonderful wings using this new technique. It certainly jazzes up the designer papers that weren't as exciting in the package.
